Gary Valentine had over 20 years' progressive career experience in the professional staffing industry. His successful track record included being a strategic visionary executive leader in technical, energy and healthcare sectors. Gary had an entrepreneurial action-oriented mindset. He genuinely cared about his clients, colleagues and his direct team. Gary's leadership style was open, proactive, collaborative providing guidance and support to raise individual and team performance to the next level.
He was LINK's Executive Vice President, responsible for strategic development and operational excellence. Gary's hands-on approach has generated sales increases and improved operating processes. He leads his team focusing on sales, new market development, business expansion, and potential acquisitions.
Throughout his career, Gary was recognized and received numerous awards such as the Hudson's Chairman's Award and LINK's President's Award. With nearly 25 years of professional leadership experience, Gary combined his vast knowledge of the staffing industry with business foresight, strategic planning, and exceptional leadership. He is an inaugural Member of the Executive Advisory Board for High Performance Network℠, the premier leadership development network for current and emerging leaders from first-time supervisors to executive management and board members and advisors.
Gary received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Buffalo, School of Management, in Buffalo, New York.
Gary is survived by his wife and two children in Houston, Texas.

leadership spotlight - Jennifer Bass
We are pleased to spotlight our very own Ms. Jennifer Bass who is Chief Human Resources Officer at Encino Energy.
Jennifer Bass is a global business executive, human resources expert, board member and management consultant. Most recently she was Senior Vice President, Human Resources and member of the Venari Executive Committee. Earlier, Ms. Bass was the Vice President of Human Resources at Direct Energy (DE – North American Subsidiary of Centrica PLC). During her tenure at DE, she led numerous acquisitions including the strategic acquisition of Hess Energy Marketing and a divestiture worth $1 billion in Canada. She also developed and deployed the talent acquisition and leadership development strategy and led the Employee Relations function for North America.
Jennifer has a combined 20 years of experience in legal, consulting and human resources areas. Before joining DE, she has 15 years progressive consulting experience: over 9 years with Resources Global, a consultancy previously owned by Deloitte & Touché before going public in 2000. Earlier in her career, Jennifer was a practicing labor and employment attorney.
After undergraduate studies at Texas State University, graduating with a Bachelors, Business Administration (BBA), she returned to Houston to attend South Texas College of Law, graduating with her Juris Doctorate (JD). Jennifer is a certified Senior Human Resources Management Professional (SHRM-SCP). She is active in the community with the Gulf Coast Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is on the Board of Trustees at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart. Jennifer is an inaugural Member of the Executive Advisory Board for High Performance Network℠, the premier leadership development network for current and emerging leaders from first-line supervisors to executive management and board members and advisors.
Jennifer lives in Houston, married with two children.
