Dr. Ivanhoe is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Brain Injury Medicine. She is a professor in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Baylor College of Medicine and an adjunct professor at the University of Texas.

Dr. Ivanhoe served as Chief Medical Officer of Mentis Neuro Health from it’s inception until April 2017. She remains an admitting physician to the Brain Injury and Stroke program at TIRR Memorial Hermann, a program she directed from 1996-2006. Dr. Ivanhoe has served as faculty in assorted courses across the US and abroad, related to neuropharmacology, spasticity and medical complications of brain injury.

Dr. Ivanhoe served on the Board of Directors of the International Neurotoxin Association (INA), their educational committee and assorted nonprofit boards. She has been on the Advisory Board of the REEL Abilities-Houston arts festival since its inception in Houston, HAPS (Houston Area Parkinson’s Society), and has served on several task forces and committees for American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and was awarded the CNS Council Service Award of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Ivanhoe is a member of speakers’ bureaus for companies involved in the treatment of spasticity and other aspects of the Upper Motor Neuron Syndrome. She is recognized by US News and World Report Best Doctors and Best Doctors in Texas and has received awards from the Brain Injury Association of Texas; American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine; Baylor College of Medicine for her contributions to advocacy, teaching and education; the service award from the CNS Council of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Distinguished Clinician award by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr Ivanhoe is an inaugural Member of the Executive Advisory Board for High Performance Network, the premier leadership development network for current and emerging leaders from first-line supervisors to executive management and board leaders.
